Golf Ontario names 2020 Hall of Fame class … and OMG, I’m in it

Golf Ontario announced last week that I have been awarded the Lorne Rubenstein Media Award "presented annually to accredited members of the Ontario media for major contributions to golf." It's incredible to receive an award named after Lorne Rubenstein, my greatest influence in becoming a golf writer. Glen Abbey closing would sad but understandable

I felt sad when I saw the news yesterday that ClubLink is looking to develop Glen Abbey Golf Club, but I could also accept it as a business decision. Turning Canada’s most well-known course into housing has been speculated upon for years, especially with the rise of Oakville, Ontario into one of Canada’s wealthiest cities.
