TORONTO (June XX, 2015)—The ClubLink Academy at Glen Abbey is pleased to announce that Tim O’Connor has joined its professional coaching staff as Mental Performance Coach.

O’Connor brings to the new role more than 25 years of experience as a golf journalist, in addition to considerable skill in facilitation and teaching and a boundless interest in performance and personal growth. O’Connor is certified as a Mind Factor Coach, the coaching program of acclaimed European golf performance coach Karl Morris.

Known for his books on Canadian icon Moe Norman, O’Connor has studied the work of revered golf coach Fred Shoemaker and attended his Extraordinary Golf workshops, and collaborated on numerous articles with performance coach Paul Dewland.

The PGA of Canada teaching professionals of the ClubLink Academy offer lesson programs for golfers of all abilities and ages at Glen Abbey Golf Club—host of the PGA Tour’s 2015 RBC Canadian Open in Oakville, Ontario—which features state-of-the-art analysis and teaching equipment.

An author of four books, including Moe Norman’s best-selling biography The Feeling of Greatness, O’Connor has written for Golf Digest, Golf World, GOLF and SCOREGolf, and covered the PGA Tour. He and co-author Todd Graves published The Single Plane Golf Swing: Play Better Golf the Moe Norman Way in February.

O’Connor co-wrote Golf Canada’s Future Links junior instruction program. He taught communications in the University of Guelph’s turfgrass program and he works actively as a facilitator and life coach. He blogs on www.oconnorgolf.ca.
